The Buchanan County Children’s Services Fund will make mental health services possible for thousands of children and youth. It will also create jobs. The Fund’s resources will protect the youngest victims of crime, abuse, domestic violence, homelessness, and suicide. It provides new beginning to parents and kids alike when they need it most.
It’s money that stays at home to protect our own.
The Buchanan County Children’s Services Fund will make a world of difference not only for kids, but for families, schools, and the places we live. Directed by an independent, citizen-led board, it will make sure that your tax dollars stay at home for the sole benefit of Buchanan County kids.
Team time over screen time.
Our kids need to build real social skills, active movement, and face-to-face bonds. In addition to athletics, academic clubs, social organizations, church and service organizations can all be healthy avenues. Screen time keeps kids sitting alone and missing active life. Addressing the impacts of digital devices helps young minds grow strong.

The Fund must be approved by you and your neighbors so that it can get to work. Supporting a small 1/4 cent sales tax levy will enable it to fully operate. It’s a small price to pay — a little over a dime a day for a family of four.
